For those that follow the old blog: Simply put, I just grew sick of that name. Originally I was planning to just change the URL but that screws up all the links, so I figured eff it, just make a new one and let the old one sit as an archive and stick a link to there in here. Nothing else has changed, I'm the same guy doing the same Devil Survivor manga that he can't seem to find raws for.
Speaking of projects, I've been a longtime follower of /a/non scanlations due to his works on Pokemon Special, 7o3x, and Boku Dake ga Inai Machi. However, he's decided to drop Pokemon and Boku due to stress and overload. A group has already planned on picking up Pokemon, so I will leave them with that. However, as far to my knowledge, I don't see anyone continuing Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (I think). Being a fan of it myself, I don't want to see it left on a cliffhanger. That is why I've decided to pick up the series, even though my "translation" of basic Japanese + Google Translate/WWWJDIC & English-ifying, while generally accurate for the most part, isn't as great as legit translations. I know it's a don't care/really hate kinda thing, but to be honest, I'd rather have something better than nothing, considering that all the raws are available.
Yes, the good news is that I've been able to find (Japanese) raws for all the missing chapters, from chapter 10 to 13 as of the latest issue. My plan is to catch up in June and then work on Devil Survivor, if the volume 2 raws (ever) come to light. I'm also close to halfway done with chapter 10, so a release should come soon; the project update should give an idea to where I'm at.
The sort of bad news is that the quality will take a somewhat slight dip from what you see from /a/non. My cleaning skills are really basic levels tweaking, nothing like the volume-like quality he does. I know there are Chinese raws along the same quality, but it's plastered with watermarks. I don't think it'll be a huge ordeal, but it'll be quite noticeable.
Nice to see you're active again! Thanks for all the hard work you're doing; I have so much fun reading the Devil Survivor manga. DeSu was one of the first SMT games I beat, and so I've got lots of fond memories.
ReplyDeleteYeah I really hope you continue with the Devil Survivor manga, I really want to find out how the story progresses! Really appreciate all the hard work you've put into it!
